A threaded coupling is a mechanical connector designed to join two threaded components, such as drill rods, pipes, or casing sections, in various drilling and piping applications. It ensures a secure, tight connection while allowing for easy assembly and disassembly.

  • Design:  Internally threaded (female) on both ends to join two male-threaded components.  The threaded coupling is designed to withstand high axial loads and torque forces in drilling and piping applications.  They are optimized for minimal energy loss during impact and rotary drilling.
  • Applications:  Threaded couplings are used in various industries to enable efficient, strong, and leak-proof connections.
    • Rock Drilling & Mining:  Connects drill rods, shank adapters, and extension rods in percussive and rotary drilling; used in underground and surface mining, tunneling, and quarrying.
