Description

The DARDAC4E is a highperformance, handheld hydraulic splitter delivering substantial force in a relatively light package (~2122kg). It excels where controlled splitting with minimal disturbance is required such as stone block extraction or indoor demolition. With a small drill hole (~3538mm) and compatibility with standard hydraulic power packs, its a flexible option for contractors seeking precision and reduced site impact.

Design:The DARDAC4E is a portable hydraulic splitting cylinder engineered for efficient, controlled fracture of rock and concrete by applying force from within the material rather than externally.

  • It operates on the proven wedge principle: a hole is drilled into the material; the C4E wedgeset assembly is inserted; then hydraulic pressure pushes the central wedge between two counterwedges, separating the material.
  • System pressure up to 50MPa (500bar).
  • Built for durability and jobsite toughness: aluminum/steel body, hardmetal (carbide) coating on counterwedges to resist wear and allow repeated use.
  • Designed for low disturbance operations: nearsilent, low vibration, minimal dust and flying debris. Allows use in inhabited/indoor or underwater settings.
  • Operators can precisely determine splitting direction and course ahead of activation via the controlvalve handle.

Applications:The C4E splitter is especially suited to jobs where controlled demolition, low disturbance and precision are required.

  • Block extraction in the natural stone industry (granite, marble) where precise splits are required rather than largescale blasting.
  • Splitting of rock or boulders in tunnelling, trenchwork or quarrying where heavy equipment or explosives are not feasible.
  • Controlled demolition of concrete: thick slabs, foundation sections, pile heads, or where minimal noise/vibration is critical (e.g., near buildings in use, underground, underwater).
  • Constrained or difficultaccess work: interior demolitions, shafts, tunnels, underwater works, or where traditional breakers would cause unacceptable disruption.
