A button bit body is the core structural component of a percussive or rotary-percussive drill bit used in rock drilling, mining, tunneling, and construction. This component is machined to accommodate tungsten carbide buttons (cutting inserts) and designed with a flushing hole to facilitate air or water flow during drilling.

Design:
- Button Pockets -Precision-drilled cavities to receive tungsten carbide buttons (spherical, ballistic, or semi-ballistic).Button layout optimized for cutting pattern, wear balance, and rock fracture efficiency.
- Central Flushing Hole (25 mm) -Allows air or water to pass through and flush cuttings from the hole.May be connected to side flushing holes or slots depending on the bit type.
- Tapered or Threaded Connection -Depending on the drill system, the rear end is designed with a taper (e.g., 7, 11) or thread (e.g., T38, R32) for attachment to drill rods.
- Shank/Body Transition (52 mm) -Designed to minimize drag and reduce the risk of bit jamming in broken ground.

- Mining and Quarrying -Drilling blast holes in hard rock, especially in underground mines or open pits.
- Construction and Civil Engineering -Rock drilling for foundation support, rock bolts, and micro-piles.
- Tunneling and Trenching -Mounted on percussive drills for horizontal or angled boring.

Materials:Bit body is high-strength alloy steel for high impact resistance and fatigue strength. Carbide button are tungsten carbide for extreme hardness and wear resistance. The steel body is typically through-hardened and tempered to achieve optimal balance of toughness and strength.
